Svea Taubert is a visual artist, researcher and lecturer based at the Department of Literature and Media Studies at Europa-Universität Flensburg, Germany. Her artistic work examines how concepts of corporeality, embodiment and sensory perception are constantly in flux. Through drawing and printmaking, she navigates the reversible dynamics between self and other, inside and outside, sometimes aiming to articulate an "in-between" space—a third space where borders remain permeable.
Svea Taubert holds a PhD with a research focus on scenography and protest art through the lens of neighborhood politics within socio-cultural contexts, asking how site-specific intervention can disrupt and reorientate power relations within urban communities and everyday culture.
